The southern tip of Cebu Island is home to several attractions such as Sumilon Island, Tumalog Falls and Olsob, known for the whale-shark interaction.
Oslob is a premiere tourist destination, famous for the Whale Shark Watching. The whale sharks may be spotted in Tan-awan village which is about 10km from Oslob town centre.
The interaction with the whale shark begins early in the morning and after a quick briefing, visitors board outrigger boats to see the sharks.
The interaction area is about 50 meters from shore. Visitors are allowed to swim with the sharks for a limited time of 30 minutes and must follow the rules: no touching, no riding, no flash photography, and keep at least 2 meters away from the sharks.
The whale shark experience can be enhanced with other attractions found nearby such as Sumilon Island, and Tumalog Falls.
