Kalimantan Adventure is a unique journey that will take you to the discovery of Indonesian Borneo.
The adventure begins with the exploration of the dense jungle of the Tanjung Puting park on board a “klotok” a traditional boat used by locals to go up the rivers. The park is home to Camp Leakey, a major Orangery Research Center.
After the thrilling experience at Tanjung Puting, the journey continues with a visit to the floating market of Banjarmasin and the remote villages of Loksado.
Upon arrival in Pangkalan Bun you will be driven for about 30 minutes to Kumai port to begin a journey by private Klotok to Tanjung Puting National Park.
The “Klotok” is a traditional two-storey wooden river boat specially built to navigate through shallow waters and narrow sections of the river. The friendly boat crew consists of Capitan, cook and tour guide. The Klotok is very simple but equipped with mattress with blankets, pillows and mosquito nets. A very basic toilet is located at the back of the boat.
Enjoy the scenery and admire the surrounding nature as you sail up river.
